Conspiracy theories emerge after Trump's assassination attempt

ALBAWABA - Former US President Donald Trump survived on Saturday night an assassination attempt after a man opened fire killing one person and injuring Trump in his ear.

Two other people were injured in the failed assassination attempt against Trump. The FBI announced identifying the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Pennsylvania. In addition, the Secret Service agents confirmed killing the shooter who opened fire at the Trump rally.

At around 6 p.m. on Saturday, after Trump had been on stage for about 15 minutes in Butler, Pennsylvania, seven or eight gunshot sounds could be heard.

The FBI and American authorities announced opening a probe into the failed assassination attempt to discover the aim behind it.

Conspiracy theories emerge after Trump's assassination attempt

After Trump was marked safe from the assassination attempt, which was carried out by a 20-year-old man, conspiracy theories about the incident have filled social media platforms.

Is Trump behind it?

Some users claimed that the assassination attempt was planned by former President Donald Trump himself to gain more votes in the upcoming November US elections scheduled in November 2024.

A social media person said: "After watching the video only one time she came to the conclusion that it was “sus” and suggested Trump himself was behind it."

Many netizens were shocked after Trump posed perfectly with the US flag raising his hand to show his power right after the shooting. A person wrote on X: "This shit gotta be staged cuss how tf you get back to back fire pictures like this out of you getting shot."

Are Democrats involved in the failed attempt?

On the other hand, another theory has made a buzz online claiming that the Democratic party was behind the failed assassination attempt. 

Many allegedly hinted about the involvement of the Democrats in the Trump incident on Saturday Night hinting out that Joe Biden, current president of the US and the Democratic candidate, could allegedly be involved in the assassination attempt against Donald.

Nonetheless, many claimed that after the presidential debate in which Donald Trump left a better print that he could be reelected according to a survey made by CNN, allegedly saying that Biden wanted to increase his chances of winning the 2024 elections so he "planned it".

Who is behind the assassination attempt?

Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania was shot dead after opening firing at the Trump rally injuring 2 rally people and killing one, in addition to injuring Trump, the FBI confirmed. 

"At this time we have no reason to believe that there is any other existing threat out there," according to Lt. Col. George Bivens of the Pennsylvania State Police, but an investigation was launched into the incident.
