ALBAWABA - Rumors have been circulating the French palace claiming that Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel, is transgender and was born as a boy.
Last week, President Macron responded for the first time since the spread of the allegations questioning the birth gender of his wife, 70. He denied conspiracy theories regarding Brigitte Macron saying they are "false and fabricated."
During an International Women’s Day event in Paris, Macron responded to allegations: "The worst thing is the false information and fabricated scenarios."
Furthermore, "I have concerns about the level of society when I hear what is circulating on social networks about my mother being a man," Brigitte’s daughter, attorney Tiphaine Auzaine, added, according to the New York Post.
French magazine shares photos of Brigitte as a 'boy'
Despite the rejection of the allegations being spread on Brigitte Macron, a French magazine posted several photos claiming they show the wife of the French president in her childhood.
In the alleged photos shared by the French magazine, a boy was seen sitting wearing a shirt and a short.
However, many reported on social media that the boy in the photos was not Brigitte Macron but "her brother, Jean-Michel Trogneux, from 1953, 1954, and 1955."
When did the rumor about Brigitte Macron's birth gender start?
According to local reports, last summer, a defamation lawsuit was filed against two French women, who appeared in a YouTube video claiming that Brigitte was born in 1953 as a boy under the name "Jean-Michel Trogneux," which is in fact Brigitte's brother's name.
In 2021, Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey shared the four-hour video on YouTube, and years later, they were persecuted by a court in Normandy city for sharing the allegation against Brigitte Macron.
