A video allegedly showing a massive robot entering a public venue in Dubai, UAE has gone viral; after claiming that it shows the robot used by the Bahraini King as a bodyguard.
King of Bahrain arrives in Dubai with his robot bodyguard fitted 360 with cameras and in built pistols. Technology moving very fast than ever in history. Now politicians might order this too pic.twitter.com/YK8aI65z4N— Roshan Abeysinghe (@RoshanCricket) August 14, 2020
The robot was described as being equipped with 360-degree cameras and built-in pistols to provide the ultimate protection for the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa.

I’d prefer a regular MAN made of muscle guarding my body over this creepy dystopian robot any day, you ? https://t.co/1WLerEjQiD
However, the video that impressed users of social media doesn't exactly describe what it claims.
While the video was actually filmed in the UAE business-capital, Dubai, the King of Bahrain has nothing to do with the robot seen marching through the hall. In fact, the short video was taken in a Dubai exhibition featuring Titan the Robot, which has appeared on several occasions in the GCC country.
The 8-feet robot suit was developed by the British-based company Cyberstein and first appeared in the English Glastonbury Festival in 2004.
Where’s the king of Bahrain? And the supposedly “robot” has the flag of emirates on his arms, not Bahrain.— Taghreed Risheq (@taghreedrisheq) August 15, 2020
In addition to the robot having the Emirati flag attached on his shoulder, the King of Bahrain was not present in this event, neither did he ever announce including a robot in his security team.
Guys its definitely a guy in a suit I have seen it myself twice they travel all over the world doing an act. Titan. ❤— daun hammond (@HammondDaun) August 15, 2020
