ALBAWABA - Rumors have taken over the American side of X, formerly known as Twitter, that the former U.S. President has passed away.

A series of bizarre and disturbing posts were seen on the official account of Donald Trump Jr., the former U.S. president's son. The first post that sparked the fuss announced the 45th president of the United States had died, and his son Trump Jr. would be taking his place in joining the presidential race in 2024.

"I’m sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024," the post said.

Other posts included using racial slurs and offensive phrases to current U.S. President Joe Biden like "F*** Joe Biden,", "North Korea is about to get smoked" and "When I become president I'm going to burn the SEC".

Hours later, it appeared that Donald Trump Jr.'s account was hacked. Eric Trump, Trump Jr.’s brother, jokingly posted Wednesday morning: "What was @donaldtrumpjr password? Don2024?".

Later on, the false posts were deleted, and then a spokesperson for Donald Trump, Andrew Surabian, posted on X saying: "Don’s account has been hacked," linking to a since-removed tweet.

The former president took to his own social media platform TruthSocial to prove that he hasn't died by casually posting ignoring the ongoing rumors.
