Dr. Oz revealed his potential bid to run for Senate elections

Super famous doctor and international television character, Mehmet Oz, has announced his intentions to run for the coming Senate elections.

According to sources, the legendary daytime talk show host, well known as “Dr Oz”, revealed that he might be hanging up his TV show and seeking a place on Capitol Hill as a republican by running into a Pennsylvania Senate run.

Various reactions emerged on social media following the Columbia University professor’s bid to run for the coming Senate elections. Some have slammed the alleged decision justifying that he is not well qualified to run for Capitol.

On the other hand, a news anchor, Jacqui Heinrich, shared a video of  her with Dr. Oz and commented on his Senate run bid writing: “If true, @DrOz would be the first and hopefully only candidate for office whose makeup I have done…”

Another person has slammed the idea of a celebrity running off for a political position. Twitter user backlashed the idea claiming that he “wasn’t born in Pennsylvania, wasn’t raised there, doesn’t live there” so why is he running for the Senate chair there.

A spokesperson to Dr. Oz said that the T.V. show host has lived and voted in Pennsylvania since 2020, and "has deep family ties" there.

According to Anadolu Agency, Oz has a record of donating to both Democrats and Republicans and would bring celebrity status to the race. But he lacks political experience, and his ties to Pennsylvania may be perceived as weak among voters, according to the Free Beacon.
