Egypt's Mufti Shawki Allam commented that half of Europe's Muslims are hostile and inline with ISIS ideology; which angered many Muslims. The reaction to the comments was all over social media and increased when his counsellor defended the French president Emmanuel Macron's latest statements on regulating Islam in France which many considered Islamophobic; describing them as a call for help from extremism and not against Islam.

! https://t.co/JhmEsvDlaZ
Translation: Egypt's Mufti uses the "liberal" way to accuse half of Europe's Muslims of belonging to ISIS!! Did he present a case study to support his claims? Or is this riding the wave of the fight against Islam and Muslims?!
Allam called in his televised statement for studying the case of Islamophobia based on many Muslims from the second and third generation in Europe being indeed affiliated to ISIS. He added that in 2016 there was an actual study that proved this case showing a percentage of 50% of these two generations having ideologies relevant to ISIS. Moreover, "after concluding a conference on the issue, we recommended that many of Europe's Muslim centers be revisited and that those running them be carefully considered in terms of background and education.

Translation: Are these media channels so rude as to justify to criminals and Muslim haters their stances and attack those who defend Islam.. Catastrophe after catastrophe..
The Mufti's counsellor, Dr. Ibrahim Najem published an article in Al-Ahram newspaper entitled: Macron and Islam; Confrontation and Revision. In the article, Najem considered Macron's blunt comments on Islam as a call against extremism and not an attack on Islam. The act created more controversy and resentment all over social media.

Translation: Aside from #Erdogan, we did not hear a sound from any head of state or high level official resenting #Macron's statements which attacked Islam as a religion. Instead they say that Erdogan flatters people's emotions, as if they do not! I wish they got this angry like they do when flags are being burned and images of presidents are being torn.
