ALBAWABA - A video shared by far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has angered Muslims after the National Security Minister lashed out against calls to prayer at mosques in the occupied Palestinian lands.

Itamar Ben-Gvir posted a clip on social media showing a mosque calling for prayer, which woke him from his sleep and made him upset, as he lashed out, saying, "Enough".

The clip comes amid efforts by the Israeli Minister to muffle the call to prayer in mosques located on Palestinian lands under occupation.

The minister added, "Enough! That's it. It's no longer possible to sleep."

He promised to stop the calls to prayer, saying, "I will work to change this situation and put an end to the noise coming from the mosques."

Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, warned on Monday of an Israeli legislative bill that would ban the Muslim call to prayer.

"The issue of the call to prayer has been raised again after repeated failed attempts to ban it or reduce its volume," Sheikh Ekrima Sabri revealed in a statement.

It is worth noting that the Ministerial Committee for Legislation in the Knesset has submitted a bill aimed at restricting the Muslim call to prayer in East Jerusalem and in Arab towns inside the occupied Palestinian territories. However, the bill should be approved by the Israeli parliament.
