ALBAWABA - The International song competition Eurovision recently made headlines after allegedly rejecting another song coming from Israel under the name of "Dance Forever" due to its lyrics referencing what happened on Oct. 7, 2023.

According to Erem News, "Dance Forever" is the second song to be rejected by Eurovision as the competition also refrained Israel from singing its first one titled "October Rain" which also refers to the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and the Hamas-Israel war.

Israel's President Herzog responds to Eurovision

Last week Israel announced that it won't be participating in the song competition if the organizers reject the song that will represent the country as Israeli authorities added:

"The authority contacted the authors of the songs 'October Rain', which was chosen first, and 'Dance Forever', which was chosen second, and asked them to reformulate the words while preserving artistic freedom".

And, "The broadcasting authority will choose from among the new texts it will receive the song that will be sent to the committee supervising Eurovision until it approves Israel’s participation in the competition".

According to sources, Israeli singer Eden Golan will represent Israel in the upcoming contest from May 7, 2024, til May 11, 2024. Israel won the title four times before. By the time of writing this article, the individual's Instagram account garnered more than 100,000 followers but is private for an unknown reason.
