ALBAWABA - In a shocking and first-of-its-kind incident a Japanese man was arrested by the police at Hawaii airport for holding hand grenades in his carry-on bag.
Media reported that authorities at Hilo International Airport in Hawaii arrested the traveler named Akito Fukushima from Kanazawa for "terroristic threatening" after he was reportedly caught with two hand grenades in his carry-on luggage.
According to the Hawaii Police Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Hawaii airport was evacuated Tuesday after officials discovered two items resembling grenades during an X-ray screening of a carry-on bag.
Nonetheless, the police said Fukushima was arrested with charges of first-degree terroristic threatening.
TSA agents revealed, as reported by Fox News, that they found two items resembling grenades while screening the Japanese traveler's carry-on bag at about 5:30 a.m. local time as he was departing the country.
