ALBAWABA—While many families showcased their preparations for Hurricane Milton, a Florida family took to social media and posted a picture of their hose being tied down by yellow straps in hopes of saving it from the catastrophic natural disaster.

The house resides in Orlando, Florida and a user on social media jokingly captioned the creation as "Redneck Engineering vs Hurricane Milton". The creation was made by Raisa and her family to transform their home into a force to be reckoned with.

One user wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), "I don’t know if this is dumb really dumb, or pretty smart".

Raisa's partner Mohammed Nijem is currently in Chicago and all he can do is pray for her and her family's safety. Nijem said about Raisas' father, "Essentially, he just tied the house down to protect everything he's got" and later added that being away from his partner in such incidents is very stressful.

He also added that he will be checking on news often to stay updated about the situation in Florida.

On a different note, users on the internet swarmed social media with videos of incidents taking place due to Hurricane Milton including videos of troopers helping an abandoned dog to safety, a news anchor from Fox News reporting from the heart of the storm, and many more clips showing the catastrophe it's causing to the state.

After the video, the picture of the dog sitting comfortably in the car after being rescued calmed down many worried people on the internet.

On the other hand, a Fox News weatherman sought the opportunity and took to the dangerous storm to report about it as he claimed to love the experience. He added that it's a historic event that has to be documented. This triggered a plethora of comments from users on X (formerly known as Twitter). Here's what they had to say:

"A desperate craving for attention".

"Get out of the stormy weather!  You look ridiculous!"

"I'm waiting for that one guy just to walk by normal, just like that guy did on The Weather Channel and made that reporter look like an a**hole".
