ALBAWABA - France's President Emmanuel Macron can't seem to catch a break after being slapped on camera by his wife, Brigitte Macron.
A French gym recently went viral after allegedly putting up a new advertisement mocking the president that read, "Does your wife beat you? Sign up for self-defense classes at our gym!" Following a picture of Macron covering his eye as a result of Brigitte's slap. A message also urged customers to contact the administration for more information.
The photo flooded several social media platforms, with several stating that it's AI-generated and was only created to gain traction and controversy on the internet.

Another wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), "You may have noticed that no one is talking about the negotiations between France and Vietnam, but everyone is talking about Macron's slap in the face."
The slap incident occurred after the French president landed in Hanoi, Vietnam, as part of his six-day Southeast Asia tour, to discuss the "Indo-Pacific strategy."
While many deemed it "fake" at first glance, French public radio, Franceinfo, confirmed the video's authenticity, claiming that Brigitte's slap was nothing but a "banal couple’s teasing."
The president will also visit Indonesia and Singapore as part of the tour.
