ALBAWABA - Amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, since Oct. 7, 2023, the city is currently engulfed with 100 tonnes of trash which is resulting in a plethora of diseases due to polluted water and degraded living conditions, according to Al Araby News

The health ministry of Gaza claimed that it lost control of the large amount of trash across the city which accumulated since Oct. 7, 2023. Out of 270,000 tonnes across the strip, 100,000 have accumulated in Gaza City alone.

Gaza's health ministry also added that Israel destroyed 100 vehicles that were responsible for collecting and burying trash making things from bad to worse. Moreover, the occupation was responsible for wrecking more than 60 water containers and health facilities including hospitals.

The wreckage of water containers is making it difficult for Palestinians to receive clean and drinkable water forcing them to have polluted liquids, which results in diseases.

Al-Aqsa Flood and All Eyes on Gaza

Hamas announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel making it the biggest offensive by the group in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip, captured military bases, and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel while others were seen paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, more than 39,623 have been killed by Israeli airstrikes across the besieged strip, more than half of whom are children and women, the Ministry of Health reported. Additionally, 91,469 Gazans have been injured, with injuries varying between mild and severe.
