ALBAWABA - HBO Max has acquired the US rights for "One Day in October," an Israeli docuseries that tells the story of the moment Palestinian resistance group Hamas attacked Israel's Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7, 2023, as reported by Variety.
"One Day in October" is set to premiere on the streaming platform on Oct. 7, 2025, to commemorate the two-year anniversary of the incident. Reports reveal that the docuseries was filmed in Israel and is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios in collaboration with Yes TV.
The docuseries is described on IMDB as "An anthology series exploring the aftermath of the October 7 attacks in Israel, where Hamas militants killed and took hostages. It portrays stories of love, bravery, endurance, and grief arising from the senseless violence."

He added, "From the very beginning, we approached this series with the utmost care, sensitivity and urgency to ensure that the stories were told with authenticity and respect and paying homage to the victims and the heroic survivors."

It's important to note that the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, has resulted in the killing of more than 64,000 Palestinians and has left at least 164,000 injured, without counting the many lives lost under the rubble.
Since the start of the war, 425 Palestinians, including 145 children, have died of starvation due to the ongoing famine in the Strip.
The upcoming docuseries sparked backlash among human rights and pro-Palestine activists who described it as a form of "Israeli propaganda" and a way to distract people from what's happening in Gaza and the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
A pro-Palestine social media user wrote, "they should do a show called “every day the rest of the year” about the decades of murder and apartheid and rape and brutalization of palestinians at the hands of israeli settlers."
Another wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), "Can’t wait to see how they depict the Hannibal Directive!"
