ALBAWABA - Kenyan runner Sabastian Sawe made history by being the world's first athlete to run a marathon in less than two hours in the London Marathon, CNN reported Sunday.
According to the media, Sawe broke the world record and completed the London Marathon in 1:59:30.
Additionally, Yomif Kejelcha of Ethiopia, who faded during the marathon's final, was able to complete and took second place. Kejelcha also finished the race in under two hours, with a time of 1:59:41.
Before Sabastian Sawe's record-breaking, athlete Kelvin Kiptum had earlier finished the Chicago Marathon in 2:00:35.
