ALBAWABA - H&M was heavily backlashed after its latest back to school advertisement. the Swedish fast fashion giant was accused of sexualizing children.
Many parents took to social media to criticize the huge brand after its latest ad which was labeled as a children's rights violation.
In its latest ad, H&M released a photo of two girls wearing school outfits and wrote a caption: "Make those heads turn". The ad sparked a wave of anger among people and was slammed by social media users and activists.

A person wrote: "H&M has now pulled their "sexualized" advert featuring two young girls in school uniforms with the caption ‘Make those heads turn’ after sparking backlash. The brand has removed the ad and issued an apology. This ad has now been removed. We are deeply sorry for the offense…"
Another added: "H&M Australia causes outrage with parents after the brands Back to School Facebook ad featured an image of two young girls in school uniforms with the caption 'Make those heads turn.'"
According to media sources, the H&M campaign was launched in Australia.
AFP reported citing a spokesperson of the company who confessed: "We are deeply sorry for the offence this has caused and we are looking into how we present campaigns going forward."
Many parents were shocked and asked how was the ad approved in the first place and how was it not reviewed by specialists.
