ALBAWABA - Indian politician Baba Siddique who is known to have ties with Bollywood stars was recently shot dead in Mumbai, India near his son's office, according to the BBC.
Amid the incident in question, two individuals were arrested by local police who were deemed connected to the killing of Siddique. The former minister of Maharashtra was expected to be part of the state's polls next month.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar of Maharashtra who also comes from Baba Siddique's political party was shocked by the killing of his colleague and said that it was a "Cowardly attack".

Siddique was known to have strong ties with Bollywood stars while also occasionally inviting them to his luxurious parties.
Despite the government taking heavy security measures at the incident where a Hindu festival took place, many locals judged the government for failing to protect Siddique.
According to local Indian news outlets, Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who is currently serving time in prison over several murder cases could be allegedly linked to killing Baba Siddique due to the suspects reportedly being part of his gang.
The killing of Siddique occurred after tightening security measures due to the politician recently receiving death threats.
