ALBAWABA - As peace talks between the United States and Iran have reached a deadlock, some officials and experts are expecting a new round of attacks.
The U.S. and Israel launched a preemptive attack on Tehran on Feb. 28, 2026, targeting and killing senior Iranian officials and military commanders in addition to the country's then-supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.
In return, the Iranian army announced "Operation True Promise 4" targeting Israel and American assets in the Middle East. After a 40-day war, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on April 7 a two-week ceasefire deal with Tehran, a truce which was extended last week [April 21-22].

Footage has gone viral on social media, taken from Flightradar24, reportedly showing American military jets forming an airbridge, transporting cargo into bases in the Middle East.
The clip triggered questions online about whether the war is resuming soon, allegedly claiming that the U.S. truce was nothing but a way to earn time to rebuild bases in the region after they were hit by Iranian missiles.
