ALBAWABA - A crime has left Iraqis shocked after the famous blogger and TikToker Fairuz Azad was found shot to death in Erbil city, northern Iraq.
A source in the Kurdish Asayish forces told the press that famous blogger and TikToker Fairuz Azad was found killed on Wednesday with fingers pointing to the involvement of her father and relatives in the incident.
The Iraqi blogger and TikToker was found killed in her apartment in the Darato neighborhood, southeast of Erbil. The source also said that a number of Azad's relatives have broke into her house and shot her four bullets from a "personal gun that penetrated her body, while she was asleep, which led to her death."
"She died instantly," the source told Erem News and added that her father and her relatives are under investigation as earlier they had threatened to kill the victim.
In detail, Fairuz, who lives with her mother after her parent's divorce, was earlier warned to delete her social media accounts by her father and her cousins.
On the other hand, many social media users allegedly said that Fairuz Azad was raped and killed at the hands of a Kurdish militia inside an apartment. Many also posted a video of the victim's mother saying that she confirmed that her daughter was raped and killed.

She is one of the famous bloggers in the Kurdistan region, and provides most of her content in the Kurdish language.
She had survived an assassination attempt on Nov. 18, 2023, after two people threw her from the balcony of her apartment in the “Housing Apartments” in Erbil leaving her with serious injuries.
