ALBAWABA - In response to allegations that Hamas has beheaded 40 babies in its conflict with Israel, social media posts are bashing Israeli media platforms for utilizing AI-generated graphics to advertise their army's latest aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The wave of criticism started off as Right-wing American columnist Ben Shapiro faced intense backlash over sharing an image he shared purporting to show a "burnt Jewish baby" after Saturday's attack by Hamas fighters on Israel.
Shortly after that post, the image authenticity detection site aiornot.com confirmed that the picture was AI-generated

X users bashed Shapiro for promoting fake, AI-generated pictures to promote alleged crimes Hamas committed against Israeli babies only for it to appear being a picture of a puppy in a vet clinic.
" Ben Shapiro was getting so bent out of shape over what appears to be nothing more than a file pic of a dog which has been worked on with AI image manipulation. Maybe if Ben could focus more on the REAL War Crimes Israel is currently perpetrating" one user said in a post on X.
Some said that Israeli media are using deceiving titles to draw sympathy from the world turning a blind eye to the war crimes that the Israeli army has been committing against innocent civilians.

User @LaurenWitzkeDE said in a post on X: "The Israelis, including IDF, already shared the “40 decapitated babies” headline far and wide, and used it to justify a complete massacre of civilians in Gaza today".
Additionally, an Israeli Instagram account, under the user @arab.supporting.israel has posted two pictures of Jordanian influencers allegedly waving the Israeli flag.
Followers quickly debunked the Instagram posts by confirming that the original photos were of influencers Wessam Qutob and Ahmad Aburob waving flags of teams they were cheering for and supporting while attending the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
