ALABWABA - A video of US Vice President Kamala Harris stuttering while talking about abortion during an election campaign in Atlanta, Georgia, has taken the internet by storm and raised questions about whether she was drunk on stage.
Many activists on social media speculated whether the US Democratic presidential candidate was drunk while giving the speech as she was stuttering while talking a lot raising concern about the reason.
In the Sept. 20 footage, Kamala Harris was talking about what she called "Trump abortion bans" at her campaign in the state of Georgia.
On Facebook, a person posted a part of the speech and wrote: "Kamala is hammered drunk or on drugs. How can you possibly vote for this?????"
Many comments questioned why was Kamala Harris speaking very slowly in the video and understandable way as many claimed she could be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
However, Reuters Fack-check confirmed that the video which went viral online showing Kamala Harris, who is competing in the 2024 US elections, speaking awkwardly and weirdly is not true.
In the original video seen everywhere else, Kamala was speaking normally during her campaign in Atlanta.
According to the British newspaper, the video of the Vice President has been "digitally edited to make her appear drunk." The clip from the campaign event was deliberately slowed down to make Kamala look like she was unconscious.
