ALBAWABA - Lebanon has been the talk of the internet among Arabs after a series of images and videos accumulated on social media platforms showing individuals hanging a man on a pole for allegedly "selling donkey meat"?

According to Al Arabiya, the incident took place in the central town of Beqaa Valley, Lebanon, and rumors circulated on social media platforms that the reason the person was hung on a pole was either for allegedly selling donkey meat or for erupting sectarian strife, as claimed by Lebanese media.

The people of Saadnayel were the ones responsible for the arrest as they were seen surrounding the individual who was hung on the pole while pointing at him and shouting "Anybody who tries to do what this man did whether Syrian or Lebanese, will be hung on a pole like him!"

The man who happens to be of Syrian nationality, was later arrested and given to the State Security Service to take the necessary measures needed. Here's what some users on social media had to say about the matter:

"Deserved, he was trying to spread the selling of donkey meat."

"Thank you, good sir."

"The nation is absent!"

"This man needs to be hung and not on a pole."

"People don't have a conscience anymore."
