Social media users have been sharing an AI-generated video depicting a hypothetical kidnapping of Netanyahu and his wife, amid escalating tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran.
The video shows Netanyahu and his wife on the balcony of an apartment in Tel Aviv, as military helicopters take off from an Iranian location. The helicopters then arrive in the city, and special forces conduct a raid on the building, with scenes of panic and people seeking shelter.
The video also includes footage of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei praying, followed by an explosion in the city. It concludes with Netanyahu and his wife appearing helpless and blindfolded inside a military aircraft, accompanied by the word "fall" in Hebrew and Arabic.
The video has gone viral, with some viewers drawing parallels between this hypothetical scenario and the alleged kidnapping of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, despite the video being entirely fictional and generated using artificial intelligence.
