ALBAWABA - Iraqi Shiite cleric and politician Muqtada al-Sadr triggered a wave of anger after blaming LGBTQ+ for the disasters happening in the Middle East; in reference to Libya's floods and Morocco's earthquake.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Iraqi Shiite cleric said that what is happening nowadays is due to a fit of anger from God over the spread of homosexuality.

He wrote: "The earthquakes, storms, diseases, and wars are due to the spread of homosexuality, sins and corruption."

Libya's Storm Daniel:

Storm Daniel has hit Libyan cities leaving more than 6,000 people dead with the number of casualties expected to increase or double in the upcoming days, Islamic Relief warned late Wednesday.

Furthermore, Arab countries have rushed to send aid and assistance to the devastating areas in Libya as rescue workers from many countries were sent to look for possible survivors.
