ALBAWABA - The official X account (formerly known as Twitter) of Israel in Arabic posted a Muslim Israeli soldier holding the Holy Quran with his left hand triggering a swarm of comments from Muslims and pro-Palestine activists alike.
Moreover, the account confirmed that the man whose name is Annan joined the IDF. The post was captioned in Arabic with:
"Defending one's homeland is a source of pride. This is Annan, an Israeli Muslim citizen who voluntarily joined the IDF, the most morally respected army in the world, and took the oath while holding the Holy Qur’an.
Good luck and success in your mission!"

Many Muslims prefer people to do everything in their right including daily tasks such as eating, writing, drinking water..etc. Moreover, it's not forbidden to hold the Quran with your left but it's not preferred.
Other social media users claimed that Israel is "fishing for compliments and trying to spread propaganda again." Others shamed the account for saying that the IDF is the most moral army in the world and called them a bunch of "hypocrites."

By the time of writing this article, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, has resulted in the killing of more than 37,877 Palestinians of whom are children (not counting the ones buried under the rubble), as reported by the ministry of health in Gaza.
Additionally, at least 86,969 Palestinians since Oct. 7 were injured due to the constant bombardment from Israel leaving many Gazans homeless, displaced, and malnourished.
