ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused top law enforcement, judiciary, and military officials of plotting a coup against his government as his trial starts next Tuesday and his popularity continues to drop in opinion polls.

After a court denied his plea to postpone his criminal trial evidence, Netanyahu claimed "unreasonable coordination" among high institutions against him. He said "I am not avoiding the court; I simply requested a delay because I am managing state affairs."

He said, "Coincidence to coordinate? These people regularly overthrow governments, ministers, and elected leaders. They now act brutally and violently when faced with a powerful prime leader."

Netanyahu's words conclude a well-organized Likud campaign by ministers, parliamentarians, and social media influencers. The "deep state," including military commanders, intelligence officials, judges, the Attorney General, scientists, journalists, and others, is accused of attempting to overthrow his regime.

Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi, Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar, IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari, Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, and notable journalists and writers are under attack.

The campaign is seen as an attempt to frighten authorities before Netanyahu's trial. Despite Netanyahu's admissions of leaking Yahya Sinwar materials, Attorney General Amit Isman has not investigated Netanyahu, suggesting it is already working.

Haaretz's Uri Misgav called Isman "the weakest and worst Attorney General the state has known."
