ALBAWABA - Israelis lash out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he was spotted at one of the restaurants enjoying a meal with his wife, Sara Netanyahu, while Israeli hostages are being starved in Gaza amid Tel Aviv's blockade of the entry of humanitarian aid.
It all started after Hamas shared footage showing remaining Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip looking very thin amid the lack of food and acute hunger in the enclave, which is driven by the Israeli government as a weapon to pressure Hamas to surrender as the war continues.
During this weekend, videos were shared by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad showing Israeli hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski in a visibly fragile state amid the deteriorating situation in Gaza.
A person posted photos comparing Netanyahu, who's enjoying the best food with his wife Sara, while on the other side, an Israeli hostage looks pale and thin due to hunger in Gaza.
An X user wrote: "Netanyahu eats the best food. While the Hostages and Palestinians starve."
Another commented: "Silence is no longer justified, and faces stained with shame no longer deserve to represent us. Their lingering at the threshold of power is an insult to everyone who believes in justice and dignity. The time has come to say it clearly: Leave."
Thousands of Israelis took to the streets in Tel Aviv to protest, calling the government for a quick deal with Hamas to save the remaining hostages, who are facing hunger and bad conditions in Gaza.
Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski are among 50 hostages who remain in Gaza, at least 20 of whom are believed to be alive, according to CNN.
