ALBAWABA - A new TikTok trend among Israeli citizens recently sparked outrage across social media due to mocking starving children in Gaza, who suffered 15 months of grueling war and halted food aid.
Clips from several Israelis jumping on the trend swarmed the Chinese video-sharing platform with the hashtag "#DonateForTheChildrenofGaza." The trend asked Israeli TikTok users to call their parents as a form of a prank and ask them to donate money to Gazan children in need to see their reaction.
Several individuals were visibly laughing at the thought of it while their parents seemed more angry about the idea and were charged with hateful comments toward Gazans.

One Israeli kid asked her father to donate and said, "You know they have nothing to do with Hamas... The Israeli army has caused them suffering," which was met with hateful swear words and an abrupt end to the call.
Before the call ended the father said, "These are not humans in Gaza; they are animals."
Another disguised herself as an employee at a non-profit organization asking to donate money for Gaza's children but her mother said no multiple times and was heard laughing through the phone.

Israel's 15-month war on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 48,000 Palestinians and left more than 111,000 injured since Oct. 7, 2023, as reported recently by the UNRWA.
The government in Israel intends to restart the war in the Gaza Strip within 10 days if Hamas does not continue to release Israeli hostages, local media in Tel Aviv said on Monday. The occupation also halted the entry of all goods and supplies into Gaza.
