ALBAWABA - Ten persons, including a businessman and nine of his family members—including children—were killed in a horrific aircraft accident in southern Brazil. In Gramado, a well-known neighborhood in the southern portion of the country, the little plane crashed in a busy commercial center.

Significant damage was caused by the collision, and 17 individuals were injured and sent to a hospital near the accident site. Two ladies are reportedly in serious condition among the wounded.

The aircraft was headed to Jundiaí in São Paulo state after taking off from Canela, which is near Gramado. Before the plane crashed, it had barely flown 3 kilometers, or 1.86 miles, in total.

The reason of the disaster, which left a town in grief at what should have been a joyous season, is being looked into by authorities.
