ALBAWABA - American writer and pro-Palestine activist Shaun King and his wife Rai King announced their conversion to Islam at the start of Ramadan 2024, according to Islam City.
The 44-year-old announced the news through a live broadcast shared by Professor Khaled Beydoun showing both Shaun King and his wife Rai King reciting the Shahada, a testimony of faith with the aid of Sheikh Omar Suleiman on Mar. 10, 2024.

The activist's Instagram was banned on Dec. 22, 2023, as he claimed that the reason behind the ban was his coverage of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza which caused outrage among pro-Palestine activists and users as they took to a plethora of social media outlets to demand the unban of the account in question.

Shaun later expressed his frustration for losing his voice on Instagram as he garnered more than a whopping six million followers before his account got shut down by Meta. The activist made sure that everybody knew whose side he stood with as he's been quite vocal about the war.
