ALBAWABA - Unconfirmed reports emerged on social media, where online users allegedly said that Aaron Bushnell, the US Air Force member who set himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, on Sunday succumbed to his wounds.
The story and the video of Aaron Bushnell are believed to have been first reported and shared by independent journalist Talia Jane, who also reportedly announced the death of the US Air Force member.
His last words were "Free Palestine," pro-Palestinian activists widely shared the story of the US Air Force member who set himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy and was seriously injured.
A video went viral on social media showing Aaron Bushnell outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, in the clip, the US Air Force active member starts by introducing himself, then he said he will no longer be complicit in "genocide".
After ignition, he repeatedly was heard shouting "Free Palestine."

CNN reported citing the Washington Metropolitan Police Department: "The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 3500 block of International Drive, NW, at approximately 1:00 p.m., to assist the United States Secret Service after an individual set themselves on fire in front of an embassy in the block."
Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the Israeli Embassy clarified that no one in the embassy was "injured" and that everyone is safe.
An X account, named Mossad Commentary, posted the video of the US Air Force member who burnt himself outside the Israeli embassy and wrote a caption: "Our enemies kill themselves."
In another post, Mossad Commentary further said: "A US Air Force soldier lights himself up on fire to protest Israel. What an idiot."
On Oct. 7, Israel launched aggressive attacks in Gaza in response to Hamas' Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Tel Aviv, which was the largest operation in ages. According to Israeli reports, about 1,200 Israelis were killed in the Oct. 7 Hamas attack.
According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, at least 29,692 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and 69,879 injured in Israeli aggressive attacks.
