ALBAWABA - Russia recently made headlines and went viral on social media after reportedly showing interest in introducing a 'Ministry of Sex' to combat the declining birth rate in the country, according to Firstpost.
The proposal of a 'Ministry of Sex' was introduced by the country's 'special demographic operation' due to Russia marking its lowest birth rate in 25 years.

Russian authorities have presented a plethora of proposals to boost the country's population including, encouraging citizens (mainly couples) to not use their phones between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. for more intimacy with each other and receiving Rs 5,000 (around $50) on their first dates.
Moreover, another official proposed that Russian couples' wedding night fees should be covered by the government including hotel rooms in hopes of boosting the birth rate. Take in mind that the fees are capped at Rs 26,300 (approximately $270).
Another bizarre proposal was made by Russia's Regional Health Minister, Dr Yevgeny Shestopalov who said Russians should introduce a ‘sex-at-workplace’ plan for employees to make babies during lunch and coffee breaks.
Firstspot reported that Russia's government is also asking women in the country very personal questions about their menstrual cycles and sexual activity. Additionally, the government also brought up things about whether the woman had previous pregnancies and miscarriages.
