ALBAWABA - Yechiel Leiter, Israel's Ambassador to the United States, has made a very controversial comment regarding an upcoming Israeli plan against Tehran in which he said will be a "major one".

The Israeli Ambassador to the US said that what his country did to Hezbollah in the pager attacks will be nothing compared to what Tel Aviv is planning to do in Iran next Friday.

Fox News revealed that Leiter said there will be some surprises amid the rising tension with Iran that will make "explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies" used by members of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria in 2024 appear "simple."

"We've pulled off a number of surprises," he said during an interview on the TV network Merit Street on Tuesday.

The ambassador further mentioned: "When the dust settles, you're going to see some surprises on Thursday night and Friday that will make the beeper operation almost seem simple."

Despite giving snippets that a new plan is being under process against Iran, however, he didn't mention what will happen, nor did he share any information about it.

What are Lebanon's Pager attacks?

On Sept. 17, 2024, many pager devices used by members of the Iran-backed Hezbollah group exploded suddenly, leading to the death of at least 12 people, including two children, and injuring nearly 3,000 on Sept. 17 in Lebanon and Syria.

The second day, Sept. 18, a new wave of explosions was reported in walkie-talkie devices also used by the Hezbollah group, killing 25 people and injuring more than 600 others in the region.
