According to media sources, cosmetic surgeries reached sheep in the Syrian city of Raqqa, aiming to transfer regular sheep to more rare breeds to help sell them for a higher price.
According to the Reqqa farmer, the price of one sheep is being sold for tens of millions of Syrian liras after plastic surgery and botox.
Abu Al-Bashayer told the Athar Press website: "A sheep that looks like the rare 'Haraki type' is selected, its wool is washed using powerful pumping tools, then its wool is dyed with women’s hair dyes, and botox is injected under the skin of the nose to take The shape of the nose of the "Haraki" sheep."
He further noted that the price of a sheep of rare breeds of Haraki reaches 300 million Syrian liras (about $2,400), and some range between 25 and 50 million Syrian pounds per male head, as it is used to purify the offspring to reach pure breeds.
