ALBAWABA - Donald Trump, a former US president, is highlighting religious themes in his campaign. "Vote for me to uphold Christian values," declared Trump.
We are fighting this. And we need to rescue our nation. However, Christians cannot afford to remain neutral in this conflict. They have to step up pretty badly. They must prevail and take the necessary actions."
Donald Trump spoke at the Nashville-based National Religious Broadcasters International Christian Media Convention as part of his ongoing campaign for the US presidency in November. Trump emphasized his accomplishments from his first term in office and asked Christians for support as he vowed to utilize his second term to uphold Christian principles.
"We have taken on initiatives for Christians in this nation that no one else has taken on before. And I'm happy about it. Just consider what we have accomplished so far under my direction, with God's assistance, the wonderful people in this room, and many others with whom we have collaborated," Trump said.
"But under the Trump administration, no one will ever touch the cross of Jesus," Trump continued, asserting that the country is engaged in another battle for survival. I promise it won't ever occur. That won't ever take place.
Additionally, Trump asserted that he was far ahead of Nikki Haley, the only other Republican running for the office. "And in South Carolina, I'm losing to Nikki Haley. It appears that she will fall short by twenty or thirty points. That is excessive. Despite being the governor, she is unpopular and damaging the party."
