US parents kill baby after leaving her in closet with 43C space heater

ALBAWABA - Parents from Indiana recently made headlines after accidentally killing their two-year-old daughter by leaving her in a closet with a space heater inside until her temperature levels rose to unnatural levels, as reported by the Mirror. 

Temperatures in the closet quickly rose to 43 degrees Celsius (109 degrees Fahrenheit) resulting in their daughter's death. The parents, 21-year-old Sintia Perez, and 23-year-old Jace Hirschy, were arrested back on Nov. 27, 2024, and charged with "neglect of a dependent resulting in death" which is considered a number one felony in the state of Indiana. 

An autopsy later confirmed that the toddler died from hyperthermia. When measured in an investigation the two-year-old's body temperature was around 43 degrees Celsius.

The parents have two other children who were taken into custody amid their arrest. Upon entering the room where the incident took place, the officer claimed to have witnessed the baby with a discolored body on a dirty mattress, wearing only a diaper. 

The two parents left the child without supervision and went to sleep until 12:30 p.m. the next day. Officials reported that they hadn't checked on her till 3:00 p.m. when they found her dead.

Moreover, their two other children who were taken into custody reportedly had a lice infestation showcasing horrible living conditions.
