ALBAWABA - Armin Sohrabian, the prominent defender of F.C. Nassaji Mazandaran, is facing a wide controversy that threatens his sports career over a "satanic or vampire tattoo" on his leg.

Media reports revealed that a decision was issued to suspend the Iranian football player for 6 months and a fine of 600 million tomans (about $14,255) because of the tattoo which was considered as "devil or satanic".

The Ethics Committee of the Iranian Football Federation decided to take disciplinary action against Armin after he deliberately uncovered his tattoo.

A huge tattoo covers the Iranian football player's leg and shows a woman with animal-like teeth and strange eyes, the tattoo also shows a blade next to the woman's mouth.

It is worth noting that the player also has a big tattoo all over his right hand causing a wide fuss on social media considering that the Iranian community is a conservative one.

Recent photos from Esteghlal training showed tattoos covering his shoulders, arms, thighs and legs, and the images quickly spread online, sparking widespread controversy and prompting the intervention of the Ethics Committee.

It is good to mention that the Ethics Committee in Iran decided to use the fine to enhance football in the Lesser and Greater Tunbs Islands, in addition to Abu Musa Island.
