ALBAWABA - An Air Canada flight recently made headlines after catching on fire after skidding down a runaway at Halifax Airport, only hours after the devastating Jeju Air plane crash at the Muan International Airport in South Korea.

According to CBC News, the plane was arriving from St John’s, Canada, when it suffered from landing problems, resulting in its left wing catching on fire. A passenger told the news outlet that the wheels didn't deploy properly upon landing.

She added, "The plane shook quite a bit and we started seeing fire on the left side of the plane and smoke started coming in the windows."

Halifax Airport was forced to stop its operations for a while amid the incident.

Reports indicate that the vehicle in question was an Air Canada flight being operated by a regional airline called PAL Airlines. The number of passengers was not disclosed but speculations made by one of the passengers indicate that approximately 80 people were reportedly on board the plane.

Moreover, unlike the devastating Jeju Air plane crash in South Korea which left more than more than 122 dead, passengers on the Air Canada flight didn't suffer from any life-threatening injuries but appeared to be shocked by the aftermath.

Despite the plane's brand being De Havilland, many social media users on Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) took to the platform and threw jabs at Boeing with one adding:

"Boeing’s repeated issues—crashes, technical problems, and emergency landings—make it clear there’s a serious problem with quality control, workforce skill, and management oversight. These failures aren’t just bad for business; they’re putting lives at risk and dragging the company’s reputation down with them."
