ALBAWABA - A Japanese man recently went viral after a video captured him dressed as a Hamas fighter to show his solidarity with the Palestinian resistance group and its military organization, Al-Qassam Brigades.

Similar to the Al-Qassam Brigades uniform, the Japanese man was fully dressed from head to toe in camouflage military gear, which featured the military group's well-known green headband, a black ski mask, and a bulletproof vest with patches of the Palestinian flag across it.

The person who captured the video showered the individual with questions regarding his reason for wearing the uniform in public, to which the Japanese man said, "I'm Hamas," to showcase his solidarity with the Palestinian resistance.

This comes after Japan witnessed a series of massive pro-Palestine protests due to the two-year Israeli aggression on Gaza, which recently came to an end after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Hamas and Israel.

The two-year Israeli aggression on Gaza resulted in the killing of over 68,000 Palestinians and the injuring of 170,000 others. The famine during the war also caused the death of over 450 starving Palestinians, including at least 150 children.

While a ceasefire deal was reached, human rights activists are still flooding streets globally to call for a "Free Palestine" and an end to the Israeli occupation.

Similar incidents have also occurred in Japan with another man also cosplaying as a Hamas fighter. However, Roya reports that he was surrounded by local police and later arrested without providing further details about the reason.
