A video of a loose bull running on the train tracks near Newark Penn Station in New Jersey has gone viral on social media, causing amusement and confusion among commuters and people online.
The video, which was posted on Twitter by user @NJTrainDelays, shows the bull trotting along the tracks as a train approaches from behind. The caption reads: “Just another day on NJ Transit. There’s a loose bull on the tracks at Newark Penn Station. No, this is not a joke.”
According to NJ.com, the bull escaped from a slaughterhouse in Newark on Thursday morning and made its way to the tracks, disrupting train service for about an hour. The bull was eventually captured by animal control officers and taken to a farm sanctuary in New York, where it will live out its days.
The video has been viewed more than 1.6 million times and has received over 23,000 likes and 8,000 retweets as of Friday. Many people commented on the video, expressing sympathy for the bull, cracking jokes, and comparing the incident to other bizarre events that have happened on NJ Transit.

Newark Penn Station is a major transportation hub that serves NJ Transit, Amtrak, and PATH trains. It is also a historic and restored train station that opened in the 1930s and features art deco and neoclassical architecture.
The station has eight elevated tracks and platforms, as well as an underground terminal for the Newark Light Rail. The station also has a separate wing for the Greyhound and Bolt Bus services.
