ALBAWABA - Several users took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to post pictures of a man who nearly lost his life for looking like the fifth president of Iraq, Saddam Hussein.
The man in question is named Mikhail Ramadan whose real name is Mikhlif Ramadan. He was just a simple Iraqi man who worked as a teacher in a school in Karbala, Iraq. According to politicians and media, he looked very similar to Saddam Hussein.

The similarities between Mikhlif Ramadan and Saddam Hussein are uncanny!
According to several users on X, Mikhail started acting strangely as he was seen leaving his place several times with a fake beard that completely changed his features into a black-tinted Limousine to avoid someone seeing him. Moreover, the man started speaking in fluent Kurdish which Saddam was fluent in.
After that, Mikhail decided to get plastic surgery so that he could resemble Saddam Hussein further. The surgery was performed in Iraq by Dr. Helmut Riedel who had to travel from Germany to do it. The German doctor was later assassinated by an Iraqi doctor called, Iyad Jihad al-Asadi.
Additionally, it was noted that Helmut received a total of $250,000 to perform the surgery on Mikhail but was issued a warning that said; he would pay the price of his life if anything about this operation went out to the public.
A user by the name of Thompson on X said that the surgical operation included having Miukhail's pimples taken off and enlarging the bridge of his nose to become Saddam Hussein's doppelganger.
This left people with many questions including as to whether it was always Saddam Hussein who appeared in front of cameras and videos to the public eye.

It was also stated that Saddam was no stranger to hiring look-alikes as he also had a doppelganger called Uday for his son Latif Yahya to replace him in dangerous situations who also underwent plastic surgeries to improve the likeness further.
Moreover, Uday fled Iraq in 1991 after Saddam's son mistreated him and later wrote a book called "I Was Saddam’s Son,” sharing his experience with the public.
