However, this time he made headlines after the famous chef’s restaurant in Istanbul was subjected to an armed attack, which caused a huge uproar on social media.
In detail, two people on a motorcycle opened fire on Nusret Gökçe's restaurant, directly and quickly.
The attack occurred on Etiler Nispetiye Street, and two bullets hit the windows of the bank next to the restaurant. Fortunately, no employee or visitor was injured in the attack.
Who's behind armed attack on Salt Bae's restaurant in Istanbul?
According to local Turkish media, the police launched an investigation and are monitoring the cameras that showed the two assailants wearing helmets, but their features were not visible, but efforts are continuing to arrest the attackers and find out the motivation behind the incident.
However, many took to social media to claim that the attackers could be former workers who were abused or mistreated while working with the Turkish chef.
Meanwhile, many others allegedly said that the attacks could be people who paid too much money to eat at Salt Bae restaurant, which is known for its expensive prices.
Nothing was officially known regarding the two people who opened fire at the restaurant in Istanbul but the police is probing the incident.
