A series of tweets by Yair Netanyahu, Israel’s PM son, on what he called history of the term “Palestine” have backfired on him.

It started when Benjamin Netanyahu’s son took to Twitter to post pictures from a Palestinian village called Lifta in Jerusalem, preceding it by the Israeli flag.

His tweet sparked anger and controversy with a wave of comments and retweets correcting him on Twitter.

The controversy led Yair Netanyahu to respond by addressing “Arabs” with a map clarifying how Arabs before the 7th century were in "Arabia" and they have colonized Christians and Jews in the Middle East to occupy 22 countries in the region.

He also suggested that Jordan and Palestine have, in fact, the same flag which means that Palestinians should go back to their country, Jordan.

Netanyahu went on to share misinformation on how the Arabic language does not have the “P” sound, hence there is no such “Palestine” thing. Despite the fact that Palestine in Arabic is called "Falasteen".

This was followed by a thread of misinterpreted historical information on the lands of Palestine and the Kingdom of Judah to prove Israel’s correlation to the lands.

Meanwhile, his tweets went viral as more people mocked him.

He was also described as racist and ignorant for suggesting Israel's relations to the land while completely ignoring Palestinians roots to the land.

The 28-year-old son of Israel’s Prime Minister has been a controversial figure on the Internet for years now. The latest was his suspension from Facebook after sharing anti-Muslim posts.
