Musaira island and Sour governorate witnessed rainfall, while rain is expected Thursday evening to Saturday in Muscat, Al-Batina, and other areas, the report added.
The Sultanate's civil defense forces evacuated more than 10,000 people from Musaira island to safer places ahead of the tropical cyclone that could hit the sultanate's east coast on Thursday.
Markets and fuel stations became crowded since Wednesday. In addition, the Health Ministry established heath centers in areas that are expected to be hit by the cyclone.
