Marking an exciting new addition to Abu Dhabi’s burgeoning retail and leisure landscape, Dalma Mall, the largest shopping mall in the UAE capital, is set for a soft opening on the 10th of October, 2010, its management announced here today. Situated opposite Mohamad Bin Zayed City at the heart of Abu Dhabi’s growth corridor, Dalma Mall will, at full capacity, feature over 480 stores covering 147,000 square meters of retail space. With over 62% of the mall’s total retail space already leased out and a further 35% under negotiation, a number of selected retailers are expected to open their doors to the public during the soft opening on October 10. The remaining tenants will move in upon completion of the design and fit-out of their respective stores. The stores opening on October 10th will complement the mall’s currently trading anchor stores such as Carrefour, Home Center, Centrepoint, and Matalan. “With over 480 retail stores and an impressive array of entertainment and dining facilities, Dalma Mall is set to become the shopping destination of choice for residents across the emirate of Abu Dhabi,” said Mark Adams, General Manager of Dalma Mall. “Dalma Mall is a shopping centre targeted mainly at the many new residential communities in Abu Dhabi that are grossly under-serviced.” Dalma Mall is developed and owned by The Developers LLC, a progressive property developer owned by Abu Dhabi’s leading business figures. “Abu Dhabi is currently underprovided for retail.
