Samsung Amman International Marathon media competition winners

January 23, Samsung Amman International Marathon announced the names of the media competition winners.  This was for the best article, the best coverage from a daily newspaper, the best coverage from a monthly magazine, and the best picture in a magazine or a newspaper that has been published during the period of October 20 – 23 of 2010.

Mr. Samir Farkouh, the Director of the Amman International Marathon and Mr. Rami Jarrar, representing Samsung Company at the headquarters for the Amman International Marathon in the Shmeisani area presented the awards to the winners from Samsung.

Moreover, Mr. Sangsuk Roh, president of Samsung Electronics Levant, gave a speech, in which he said:”We at Samsung would like to thank the media representatives for their participation and coverage of the event.”

He also added:” We hope that everyone was pleased with the company, and we congratulate the winners from the media for their outstanding performance at the contest and for earning the awards justifiably.  We promise you many other contests in the coming years. I also would like to take this opportunity to salute all the participating journalists for their great support and wonderful coverage of the Samsung Amman International Marathon of 2010, not forgetting to mention the difficult task in picking out the winners, because their coverage was unique and amazing.”

In return, Mr. Samir Farkouh thanked Samsung for its sponsorship and support of the marathon this year.

The winners in the contest were: Mr. Rofan Nahas, a reporter from The Jordan Times for the Best Article, Mr. Mohammad Jaloudy from Al-Dustour newspaper for the Best Coverage by a daily newspaper, Layalina, for the Best Coverage by a Monthly Magazine, and the Photographer, Amjad Taweel from the daily newspaper, Al-Ghad, for the Best Published Picture.
