SEHA reveals 600 job openings to reinforce healthcare sector in UAE

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), starts today (Sunday 26 June 2011) interviewing Emirati job seekers in order to recruit 600 UAE Nationals, supporting Emiratis who are looking to build their career through healthcare sector. This movement is in line with the directives of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, to open 6,000 UAE governmental vacancies. This is taking place at Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council (ADTC) from 26 - 29 June 2011 and in Al Ain from 27-30 June 2011 in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council.

The initiative emphasizes the role played by the Government entities to harness the Emirati human resources in Abu Dhabi and comes in light of the outcomes of the Tawteen workshop held in last March under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Vice-Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The workshop aimed at enhancing Emiratization by sharing the responsibility for the current national employment in Abu Dhabi in accordance with Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council to implement the workshop outcomes, His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has directed to employ 6,000 nationals in the government-owned departments, organizations and companies.

Accordingly, SEHA recruitment panels will execute the interviews on the four days ahead, as arrangements have been made to interview 600 job seekers who hold Secondary School and Diploma certificates. Prior interviewing, the Recruitment Specialist from SEHA will have 5 minutes with each candidate to give him/her some interview tips and advices supporting them before going to the panel to be interviewed. The panel will interview candidates for the following available positions: Patient affairs clerk, Receptionist, Clerk, Patient representative, Cashier and Assistant.

“In alignment with the directives of H.H General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyanand cooperation with Tawteen council, we are happy to be part of this move to recruit UAE nationals and opening new opportunities in the governmental sector,” said Mr. Mohammad Al Hameli, Chief Support Services division for SEHA. “This is an important initiative to support and get Emirati people through the healthcare as well as for other governmental fields and to help local citizens develop their skills and enhance their knowledge as this is one of SEHA strategic objectives.”

Recently SEHA has started Summer Training Program for 303 UAE Nationals these opportunities are a way to nurture talent while encouraging those with a budding interest in the healthcare sector to explore the possibilities. The program offers students’ exposure to the professional atmosphere within a healthcare company with the practical experience in SEHA’s many different hospitals and clinics around the emirate of Abu Dhabi. These opportunities also included 30 special needs students.

Ali Rashid Al Ketbi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council, lauded this initiative which plays a significant role to enable national manpower in one of the key engines of our economy. “ADTC’s work team was prepared to welcome UAE jobseekers and register them in different administrative posts in SEHA hospitals throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. They have been interviewed and nominated for either specialized training programs or final job interviews and employment” he added.

As Emiratisation lies at the core of Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council, the work is going on in a daily basis to supervise and implement the employment of the 6 thousands UAE job seekers. The Council has successfully employed 1800 jobseekers in different government entities since the Emiratisation directives.
