Americans Hold 'March For Our Lives' Against Gun Violence

Published June 12th, 2022 - 10:00 GMT

Tens of thousands of American protesters have taken to the streets in the capital, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and New York to rally against the increasing number of mass shootings across the country in recent months in what is called the 'March For Our Lives'.

The protest was organized by the 'March For Our Lives' organization, which was founded by students who survived a mass shooting at a school in Parkland, Florida in 2018.

Protesters have called for the implementation of new regulations that restrict gun use and to raise the minimum age permitted to buy weapons. Demonstrators carried out banners that read: "Gun control now," "End gun violence," "Enough is enough," and "Protect kids not guns."
