Sometimes we can get the impression that situations or people look as if they were taken from classical paintings. But what if the characters of the classic paintings become part of our modern world?
Ukrainian artist Alla Mingalёva decided to reincarnate classical characters and adapted them to modern-day realities.
Mingalёva combines characters from different artists and styles with clever results. On her collages, all figures seem like they’re just ordinary people doing ordinary things. Most of her art is funny, controversial, ironic, erotic, sarcastic, and even fantastic.
In her artistic works, she comments on reality, answers contemporary questions, and shows our community in a crooked mirror.
