Iconic Downtowns of the Middle East

'Downtown' refers to a city's core or central business district, often in a geographical or commercial sense. During the late 19th century, the term was gradually adopted by cities across the United States and Canada.

Downtowns usually reflect the country's tradition and history. Here are some well known 'downtowns' of the Middle East.
