Italy's Venice was crushed by flooded with water once again as officials warn of a 'terrible situation' a year after the city suffered a billion pounds of damage during high tides.
Authorities revealed that bad weather including heavy rain and high winds caused the tide in the city to rise and flood waters reached a height of 122cm, as they couldn't activate the huge flood barriers that were rolled out just two months ago.
Moreover, the tides then hit a 145 cm peak as strong sirocco winds blew in from Croatia and two rivers flooded near the sea around the historic Italian city.
